Hungry Monkey Island Style Eats

Very friendly staff! Absolutely delicious! The tuna has a nice smoky flavor, the short ribs are melt in your mouth tender and the shrimp musubi was outstanding I could have eaten several!!

One of the healthier options to eat in Joplin. The food is good and the staff is friendly. The ambience of the place is nice as well. I've been to this place at least 5 times.

I came to Joplin for my daughter’s tennis tournament and being the foodie I am I wanted to find a local place to eat with great food afterwards, after researching, I found this gem of a spot with 5 stars and so i thought I would go find it. Perfect! After sitting in sun all day, the fresh ingredients totally satisfied my hunger and taste buds. The helpful staff helped with my decision and I went with the Monkey Business with Salmon Poke bowl. So delicious! I ate every last bite. I wish there was one in Kansas City but if I ever come back to Joplin I will definitely return!

We love it here! The Hungry Monkey Eats have the best dishes made with the freshest ingredients; nothing is left behind. Having lunch here is like going on a mini "stay-cation". The atmosphere is bright and lively. The garlic shrimp tacos are stuffed with succulent plump shrimps and their wraps are completely amazing!

This place has great customer service and it's very clean inside. Got some great food, and dessert was amazing. For a close to Hawaiian food as it can be, it's a must try and we will be back. Also, get the lilikoi cheese cake, we'll worth it in my eyes

I'm a self-proclaimed foodie. I know great, fresh food and this place has just that! I had the ahi tuna salad. Fresh greens, mango, edamame, tuna seasoned and seared. My husband had the fish tacos with Hawaiian mac n cheese. Not a drop left. Owner/brothers super nice! Cool find in Joplin!

A Joplin gem for sure! From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and impeccable service set the tone for an amazing evening. The menu is extensive and exquisite, offering a delightful array of dishes that cater to all tastes. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. The staff were so fun to interact with and the food was fresh and delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. Hungry Monkey has quickly become our go-to spot for a laid-back, delicious meal. We left feeling happy and full, already looking forward to our next visit. If you're in the mood for great food and a relaxed atmosphere, Hungry Monkey is the place to be. Absolutely phenomenal!

This is a good addition to the Joplin restaurant scene. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere is because the kitchen can get smoky from food prep and that smoke goes out into the seating area. There is a seating area towards the back of the restaurant that I may try next time where this might not be an issue. The food is good and different than other area restaurants.
